Still in the aftermath of a colleague's unfortunate/fortunate unconsummated (is there such a word) wedding, I find myself watching by the sidelines another impending union. This time of someone who's pretty much like family to me (or am I assuming?). And once again, it rubbed on me that no matter how much you say "it's just the two of us" (against the world), you inevitably marry (and promise for better or worse, richer or poorer, sickness and health, blah, blah, blah...) into each others family and if it doesn't look like a picture you like then you might want to think twice before buying dinner for 20 million people you hardly know (and like the least).
It's sad we don't always find ourselves in the best situations, but should the solution be as worse?
